I'm sure SOMEONE is not going to want the HID headlights on the 2013 so I'll be the first to offer to trade mine off my 2011. Obviously plus $$.
Let me know if you're interested.
Ant.

Lol. Good luck with that.
Im in the process of upgrading my lights to OEM quality HID projectors (not cheap ass ebay plug ins.) if your interested Ill post pictures of the whole mod job. It costs around $400 bucks and involves about 3 hrs of labor.

I cant promise I will be able to do it this week as I am traveling - but when I get back to the factory I will try and upload a step-by-step guide to go from the none-HID to the factory HID headlight system.

Its not hard to do but buy the factory headlight housing and HID ballast is the $$ part. If you buy all new parts from Toyota you are looking at around $1600-2000 i believe.

Awesome!

I can find a nice used pair for around $1500 with no ballasts or bulbs.

Whatcha smokin'?

I'm the first to ask JUST IN CASE. Doesn't hurt or offend anyone to ask. I'll bet if the LC came with the 20 inch wheels there would be a huge market to get rid of them while other would want them.

Perhaps someone who is traveling deep into oblivion does not want to carry extra ballasts and bulbs or they are afraid of the reliability of the system if they're going go through rivers.

I don't know, I was taking a shot at someone saying. "I hate being able to see the wildlife before I run them over."

ANYWAYS, I also want to install HID retrofit. I current have the 4200K bulbs and ballasts but there is too much glare and I have them aimed really low.

These few threads got me thinking

These seems to be about $500 DIY job without the LEDs. For the parking lights I'm going to try LEDs from http://www.superbrightleds.com

I would probably try on the 100 first and then attempt the 200. No Angry wife if I screw up the 100.

I really like the amount and color of light that I get out of the stock 2011 headlights. They are so bright that I frequently have passers-by flash they're high beams thinking I'm on bright. I've had them checked and they are aimed properly. I also think that the new 2013 front styling and lights are missing the mark even worse than they did on the front of mine. Round fog lamps and a bumper cover that seems to jut out even farther doesn't do anything for me. I wish they would flush the lights with the body work again. Simpler headlights that provide this much light are a plus on my book.
