Going to be replacing my bushings since I watched how much the rack shifts in them. Truck has been loose and scary over uneven road for a bit now.

I found the specs for the bolts for the steering bushings for the 01-03 trucks. They are 74ft/lb for all the mounting bolts. I am assuming it is the same for the 2000 at least. I don't currently have a FSM for my truck yet

Thanks!

2000 FSM states 74 ft-lbf for all 4 bolts that hold the rack in (v 89 ft-lbf for the 2 bolts on an '04). Strictly speaking, the two bolts on the PS, and the 2 bolts and nuts on the DS are listed as black-diamond, non-reusable parts as per the FSM. However, I reused mine with no ill effects after 3 years. BTW, the steering gear changed in '03+.

Thanks for the info re_guderian
