So I’m starting my build on a really clean FZJ80. The beige interior is really clean and I’m thinking of yanking the front seats and the carpeting out and storing them for later use. I wheel everywhere and the interior really takes a beating after a couple of trips.

Has anyone installed a (black) vynal floor, successfully (lol)? I also own a 1st gen 4runner and I know that those came with vynal floors stock, but this one has an aftermarket one installed where a shop used a thick vynal and laid it all out, looks clean too. All I use is a blower and a damp towel to clean it.

Pictures and reference of where you purchased the material would be great.

personally i would not use cruiser heaven, I had a marginal experience and only got 1 out of three wire harnesses I ordered after 4+ months of waiting, emailing and finally posting on his page.

maybe you would be better off seeing if you could get the flooring from austraila

I got my grey vinyl from @reevesci aka Trail Tailor aka Jason Reeves. IIRC, he had a new option available from the land of Oz. I really like my vinyl. It is one of my favorite mods. It instantly made my 80 smell less “raccoon orgy”!

Sorry, I remembered wrong. Thanks for the correction.

Ah, the "racoon orgy". Jason is the man to contact.

Not based in USA but in Angola. I got some Vietnamese chaps to redo my interior. They put a cream vinyl flooring in as my interior was light tan originally. Very easy to clean. Concerned it will not last as long as carpet though. Guess the vinyl quality may not be as high here as in USA. Does not look as nice in my opinion but is practical. I will try to remember to take photo and post.
