This is my first post. I have a 2000 LC100. Just finished replacing instrument panel with LED bulbs and they really look great. First time I drove after the change, the VSC trac & VSC off lights turns on about 5 seconds when put to gear. Did I mess up something in the instrument panel or I have a real problem with my vehicle skid control system? any advise is appreciated.

I would start with checking all your 4x4 buttons and such to make sure the diff lock isn't on, etc.

If that's not it, I'd check for trouble codes through the OBD.

Happened to me as well. Researched it a bit and some 4Runner guys had that happened to them. Checked everything and concluded it was the voltage change from the LEDs that triggered the lights. The code I get is c1207 (PNP switch circuit (P/R range). Installing new/old bulbs (had to order some new ones from Cdan) next week and seeing if the lights go off and no more codes show. Which is fine, I wasn't happy with the LED lighting for the dash/console - too bright at night and the blue was a little too boy racer.

Thanks for all the replies. Gwatts nailed it and it is the voltage change. But if I may add that changing the PRNDL to led's is what causing the Vsc trac and Vsc off to turn on. I put back old bulbs but retained led's in the gauges. no more problem!! the PRNDL led's are to bright anyway!!

Glad you were successful. I put all OE bulbs back in today, cleared the code and the VSC TRAC and VSC OFF still came back. Wonder if there is more going on with mine.

I think there is some write up on Zero point calibration here somewhere. Going to try that.
