I’ll add to this because I’m having a different symptom…
2011 LX570 227k miles
I remote started from inside house, came out to go to work and it shuts off when you open the door so went to restart and was just getting a constant starter crank noise, not turning over…let it sit for 1 min and it started up normal, this happened two days in a row on the third day VSC light / 4lo / check engine light came on. I checked ih8mud cleared the codes and went to drive home but something felt off, sluggish, like the parking brake was engaged, I drove it home slowly investigating and cycling different modes, high, low height, center diff etc nothing would change the “brake engaged feeling”. Next morning all VSC, 4lo lights came back on BUT the sluggish feeling is gone, I drive it to work, driving normal as if nothing is wrong. Except I can’t engage 4lo, high or low height modes. I’ve gone through this cycle for a few days now, no codes and lights equals sluggish brake engaged feeling, VSC lights and CEL equals no brake engaged feeling.
Changes made so far since this started:
Coolant level low - refilled
Checked gas cap - seems fine
Battery replaced - it was 2 years old and just got a replacement from Costco so why not
Pulled front left wheel and brake pads for fun, everything looked normal.
I regularly off-road in 4lo and use center diff lock, so lack of use shouldn’t be an issue and when I clear codes I can go into 4lo and seemingly everything is fine.
Is my VSC system actually going haywire? The sluggish brake engaged feeling is concerning and definitely feels like it’s coming from the front drivers side wheel.
