VIN labels on LX470

Hello,

I tried this question in the Buy/Sell sticky but didn't get any answers so I thought I'd try here.

I understand that there are VIN labels on all the major body panels of the LC100's but I'm wondering if those labels are present on LX470's? I've looked at a few LX470's now that don't have them on any of the doors but surely they didn't all have all their doors replaced?

The LX has the same number of body VIN labels as the Land Cruiser. Don't know specifically about Canada but here in the US the VIN labels are located on all doors, top and bottom halves of the cargo hatch, front hood, left and right fenders, and front bumper (not sure about the rear bumper).

Thanks for the responses...very interesting!

That might explain why the one I looked at had tons of rust on the undercarriage and tailgate but not a spot of rust on the doors...none of the doors had VIN tags on them !
