Offroadcamp Karenz (all information here)
The Offroadcamp is still the ideal place for a ILCM. Great camping facilities, a driving area for every driver and every weather, a awesome surrounding with many possibilities. These are just the most obvious attributes. Five times ILCM has taken place in Karenz and we always enjoyed it. Also our guests were every year looking forward to return to "Karenz".
1st until 4th may 2008 - Ascension
Traditionally the ILCM takes place at the weekend following Ascension Day. This year we do not care about the early term of this weekend. Everybody packs an extra blanket and we start the campfire a little earlier. Then the possibly lower temperatures can not effect our good mood.
4 days long
The ILCM starts officially on Thursday, the 1st may. The one who wants to arrive on Wednesday is welcome. And on Sunday there is no scheduled program, so everybody is free to stay or to leave, just as he likes to.
Program
Workshops, driver training for beginners, slides shows, lectures, drives etc. can surely be found on the program, if some more dedicated people show up, who want to contribute and to offer some activity. This kind of active partaking is important and a central point for the ILCM since six years.
Self-Catering
Everybody arranges her/his own catering and accommodation. There are several stores and supermarkets in Eldena (5 km). At the Offroadcamp there are barbecue facilities. Perhaps we can manage that fresh buns are delivered every morning.
Non profit ñ non commercial
There are no financial interests going along with the ILCM. Unbelievable: the German LandCruiser Association (DLC) as the host has to subsidise the ILCM. With the entrance fees of this year we cannot even pay the owner of Offroadcamp Karenz. And we additionally need things like stickers, wristbands, flags etc.. The DLC pays for all this, if we cannot find a sponsor. But this also means that we can assure that we have a chummy weekend and no commercial dealer fair.
Still the same prizing
As known from last year we have calculated a pretty low all in price: € 35,- for the one, who registers himself non-binding in advance. This in only possible because the host DLC has to splash out. But perhaps we can find a sponsor.
Flee market and dealers
All guest are allowed to expose and sell used parts and accessory at their own camp place, flee market style. Dealers, suppliers, customizers, travel agents etc. are allowed to do the same if they are guests of the ILCM. But from these we expect a little contribution in return like a gift as a prize for the trial or sponsoring of stickers or t-shirts.

You are all invited

Tom
