I hear what he is talking about from customers and prospective customers all the time. They are looking for an old school truck with modern day power and only the electric add ons that they chose. It also helps that new SUVs can cost you $70K these days so rebuilding a cool old truck becomes a viable alternative.

That video has been around for a bit. Someone else posted it awhile back but I didn't watch until just now.

I guess it reflects my bias towards the 60 series, but there is almost nothing I like about the Jeep appearance wise while everything on the Toyota is good. Maybe the cargo area floor strips-that's about all that's a plus for the Jeep.

The guy says that part of the appeal for these old SUVs may be the lack of acceleration and more truck like ride and I agree.
