Hi All

I have a vibration that you can feel in the seat, floor and steering wheel at about 2000-2022 rpm under load at approx 70 to 90 kms. It's smooth if you unload it or go into neutral. The CV axles were just replaced but this happens in 2wd and 4 high. I did a 2in lift and upsized to 17" wheels and 33" tires and aligned it. Would bad CV's cause this even in 2wd and then only under load or should I be checking U joints?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers

I've never heard of CVs doing anything like that? I've had a similar problem with uni joint failure at the rear axle and once lost the counter weight off a rear drive shaft from an old Bedford Van with Holden 202 running gear. Had to take the drive shaft in for rebalancing.

Did the alignment guys balance the wheels first? It might be worth calling them and asking to be sure. They'll usually be happy to look back over their work for problems at no cost to you if you're not happy with something.

Also I'd check over all the usual stuff like engine and transmission mounts. The wheel alignment guys will probably do that for ya if you tell them what's going on.

Thanks for that KiwiBogan
