I'm not always proud of everything that we do as individual Americans or as a country, but my travels have taught me that this is still the best country in the world. It is a nation worth serving.

If you've served in the Armed Forces, you understand unique nature of doing a job where you may be asked to lay down your life. If you haven't, please consider the nature of such a job and thank a Veteran for their service today.

Happy Veteran's Day, Mudders.

Thanks Mark.

Thanks, Mark. I never had to go into battle as I was stationed at the Pentagon. (Army) But it gave me an appreciation for those who do need to go in harms way. And one of my brothers was a Bradley commander in Desert Storm. He was in the armored group that rapidly swung in along the western front.

Wow, @mark71, thank you so much for this. I am always surprised at the amount of appreciation the citizens of this great nation show for those in uniform. I never know how to react when someone says "thank you" because it is always them who I thank.

Thank You for the recognition!

I am surprised to find such a great community on this forum, yet again. But that is probably just because so much of the internet is low value or outright crap, IMHO.

USAF, 1989-1993. One tour in Desert Storm, where I learned 80 series lust, but now serving public health in the American theater of operations, smitten with my 200 ;).

Thanks Mark - looks like I just missed you in the USAF by a few years. I was USAF 1996-2000, had the pleasure of a 120 day TDY in Kuwait and a 90 day TDY in Saudi. I was a firefighter out of Holloman AFB, NM (49th CES.)

Looks like we have a handful of 200 series owners with a USAF background. I can't say I'm surprised, the USAF does attract the best and brightest... :)

For me, USAF - 1987 - 1991. Desert Shield & Desert Storm. I was avionics on the KC-10s, bringing the bombers in.
