I am not selling this, but I posted up in the FJ45 section as possibly buying it, but realized it will just be far too much work with my 40 project already in the garage. I would love to see it go to a good cruiser home, and either get restored(longshot) or at least used in some way, so I will post the details of what I know about it, and if you have any questions, I can answer them to the best of my ability.

It is extremely rough, and needs a ton of work. The roof has a lot of cancer, there is an aftermarket(I believe) roof rack on top, and it even has a boat on top of it as you can see in the pic. This is the only pic I have, and it's the one my friend sent me when he first saw it. This cruiser is at a scrapyard called Goshen Auto Recyclers in Goshen, Oregon which is about 10 minutes south of Eugene. The guy showing it to me claimed he knew a lot about cruisers, but described it as an FJ55 to me, then also tried convincing me it came with a stock V8. The V8 in it is literally unrecognizable due to the amount of rust covering it. The frame looks pretty rusty, the body is really dirty, and I couldn't really clean it up enough to see if there was any cancer. There was a front and rear bench in it, but I'm not sure if they are the stock or not. Neither of the doors on the passenger side would open, so I couldn't evaluate the inside too well, but I could see it had been around. Several stickers from events and places. It has original black California plates, which I believe are from the 60's. They're rough, but there. It was really wet, so not a lot of other details as far as rocker rust or anything underbody, but the manager at the yard said he wouldn't take any less than $650 for it. I doubt he'll ever see that, and as of now, he's not willing to part it or the early model 40 next to it out.

Any questions or picture requests, let me know.

Tell him I will give him $100 including shipping:eek:

You know, I didn't ask about the boat, but I assume it comes with it because he hasn't taken it off. I didn't get a good look at the floors, because I couldn't open the doors, and they were covered in junk. I am hoping he decides to eventually part it out, and I can go grab anything that's worthwhile off it and hook some of the LV crowd up on here. It seems like it would be a very expensive and labor intensive rig to restore, but who knows, maybe there's someone with a wad of cash and a lot of time...
