I appreciate your feedback and I do understand the skepticism. I have been following this Forum for over a year now with the hopes of doing the swap but never needed to actually post or respond to anything until now therefor did not become a member until now. I had been dead-set on planning up until this thread to do the swap but due to recent circumstances I am having to sell it. As for this reason I did not keep any of the customs paperwork. I have not heard of the "A la the Rover debacle"? The truth is, I had not thought of the issues someone may have with their authorities in their state. I do know that in states without inspection stickers (like FL) none would ever be the wiser. And the states like MS where all they check are your lights and horn, basics, would be pretty safe there too. In all honesty that's a chance that the buyer would have to be willing to take. I'm at the point now that if it doesn't sell than maybe one day I will still be able to do the swap. However, until that time if someone wants to sincerely know anything legitimate with a serious offer I will be able to answer to the best of my ability as I do not know 100% of everything with this engine. It's just a little frustrating when someone blatantly posts that it's from a flooded vehicle or that the same engine can be obtained with $13k with no facts to support their statement.
Again, I do appreciate your sincere feedback.
I'm open to PMs as well for anyone that may be interested.
That engine would make a great coffee table; kinda like the one on the original Top Gear (BBC).
