Very Clean FJ-60 Tn

The time has come to sell my 60. I don't drive it nearly as much as I should and my wife just bought a new car so something has to go.
The 60 is very clean, the cleanest I've seen. With the exception of a cd player and a Weber carb, the Cruiser is just like it was the day it rolled off the assembly line.
The Cruiser starts up and runs beautifully, drives straight and true with no noises or rattles. It drives as good as any new vehicle I've ever owned. The engine makes no noises and has good power. The transmission and transfer case both shift very smoothly. Everything in the truck works as it should and the air blows very cold. Here are a list of the specs:

1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-60
2F engine 128k miles Weber carb, all emissions equipment in place
4spd transmission
All interior is in excellent shape. The carpet is sun bleached in places but still in good shape.
Cold A/C
Yakima roof rack with bike attachment
31x10.50 All Terrain tires 90% tread, Factory chrome spoke wheels in good shape.
Body and frame are rust free!

Paint is the factory brown color and was repainted last summer by the P.O. Paint job alone was $2800.
This cruiser is not a show piece but a very nice driver. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere.

Price is $6500.

I need a straight sell as I have too many vehicles as it is and could use the money for some capital for my business.

Good clean truck but over priced for market.

Just being honest.

Ebay might be a good for this truck.

Have you seen it in person?

Did he ask your opinion?

The whole purpose of mud is for people to share their thoughts and passions about LC's...Don't try and limit the free speech.

This is partially true. The Vehicle section has never been a place for opinions based on price - Chat is for that. In this scenario, Bomar is out of line.

For trucks that have been FS for months, with constant bumping, then I could see where a comment is warranted. I myself have done that. But not for 3 days.

The mods will probably delete all of these anyway as chat.

Exactly my point. If you're interested in the cruiser, gather some information. Go drive it. Take it to a mechanic. Buy it or make an offer based on what you think is fair. Negotiate with the owner. It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay and a seller is willing to sell it for.

If BJack wants our collective opinions, I'm sure he will ask. That's not whining or limiting free speech. It's showing mutual respect to a fellow cruiserhead. That, IMO, is what ih8mud is all about.

Bump for a clean 60.

The only reason I stated it because I live in the state and have been looking at another 60/62 and there are about 3-5 trucks in same shape from $3k to $4K.

So just letting the guy know.

It was no disrespect.

So everyone chill out!!!

Back to the top. BJack seems like a fairly computer savvy guy. Most folks can't post one reasonable sized picture here on mud. He opens his post with 20+.

We might assume he checked local listings in the area, Ebay, and 60's for sale here before posting.

He knows what he's got in it. He knows what he wants for it.

Maybe we should ask-

BJack- how did you come up with your price? Is it negotiable, or are you willing to wait for the right buyer?

Side note- who redid the interior? It looks alright.

I priced it based on what I paid for it. I searched high and low for a very clean, mechanically sound, DDable 60 and this is what I came up with. When I bought it, I had been checking Mud and Ebay for months and for what I was looking for this was the perfect candidate.
I've bought several vehicles, cruisers and others, that were near what I wanted but not quite. I would always end up spending more time and money to get them exactly how I wanted than what I could have bought another for in the first place. I haven't had to do anything to this cruiser in the time I've had it which is exactly what i was wanting. My wife really wanted it too, which made it much easier.
I'm willing to negotiate on the price but don't really have to sell it either, it would just be nice to have a little extra cash sitting around for our new business's opening in a few months.
Thanks for all the comments!

The interior was done when I got it, whoever did it did a very good job.

was there body work? is the interior as bright and fuzzy as it looks in the pics? kinda looks like the material they used in '84 monte carlos.

I was told there was no body work required when it was painted. I've looked pretty hard at it and can't see any evidence of it either.
The interior isn't bright at all. The pictures do make it look that way though.
