Vent Blowing hot air-

Alright I have a 92 80- AC makes snow it works so well, however to set the system on vent, cold, (just for fresh outside air) it blows engine temp warm/ hot air. Is this a worn out flap? in the air ducting? Something I can adjust? Thanks in advance for any ideas on this-

Possibly the rubber strip at the back/top of the engine compartment is missing. Mine is gone (I may have removed it years ago) and noticed I blow hot air the same as you. With the strip removed the HVAC system is sucking in hot air from the engine compartment instead of fresh air as designed? I've since installed hood vents and want to reinstall this rubber strip...

Thanks Guys- I looked into that attached thread and I think that is my issue-

Yep- the adjustment was necessary, however the bigger issue was the monumental taks of moving the lever all the way from re circ to fresh- that cleared up any remaining hot air.
