VDJ7x Raised air intake pre-cleaner

Hi guys,

Has anyone done a pre-filter on their 70 series with the Airmax or Safari snorkel?

I don't like the ram air the send with it. Not suitable for where I live.

Found these. But wasn't sure about clearance and CFM.

Everything I've read says the same... don't do it.

I have the Armax on my VDJ in Dubai. I won't be changing the head or adding a pre-filter. Instead, I'll just be keeping the main filter clean and replacing regularly.

With the dust we see, it would be a lot more than regular filter clean/change. These filter heads in the link along with the Donaldson's are amazing! I've got the Donaldson in my 60 and you can see it hold all the dirt out. Might do some measuring to check for clearance. As for the CFM, looks to be the higher the rating the better.

Wasn't sure if anyone has had experience with them on the VDJ paltform.
