Hey guys I've been looking at some FJ/BJ's for about 3 months now and seen prices skewed all over the place. I understand I'm a little late to the game and the value of these trucks have gone up in recent years. Im only 15 turning 16 in a couple on months so I'm in no serious rush to run out and buy one. Im working and have been saving bday/holiday money. Ive saved up quite a bit and am wondering how much i should be expecting to pay for one. I don't no as much as some of the other members know but i don't think I'm completely clueless. Im looking at a post 1976 truck one with the ambulance style doors, original/oem engine, transmission, no serious rust, seats (jump seats not front facing bench in back), etc. Based of yalls knowledge of these trucks how much do y'all think I'm expecting to pay? Thank y'all!:)

fyi. This post is marked ‘For Sale’ which would imply that you have something that you want to sell.

Also, in another post, you mentioned that your budget was 20-24K and that you didn’t care where in the country it was located. Is that still accurate? If so, nice job saving. That’s a lot of $ for a 15 year old........(btw. Your profile states that you are 63)......... I’m sure you can find a very solid truck that meets your description with that kind of budget. good luck with the search.

Sorry my father thought it would be a better idea to set up the account in his name and due to some unexpected things that have popped so the budget has been revised

1976 truck one with the ambulance style doors, original/oem engine, transmission, no serious rust, factory seat configuration.

It kind of depends on your definition of "no serious rust" but that sounds like minimum of $15K to me. You will have to be ready to jump on it if you find it. Those kind of trucks do not last long. When it comes to finding her, go west young man!
