VA4WDA 19th Annual Trail Ride at Oak Ridge Estate, Sept 3-4, 2011

It's that time of year again for the annual trail ride. This year it will be over Sept 3-4 weekend. Registration is open until Aug 15. So register now to guarantee your spot for this years run at Oak Ridge Estate in Arrington, VA. It will be another great trail ride, raffle, and dinner. If you've never been to Oak Ridge and you're looking to attend a very nice weekend trail ride, this one is a don't miss. Oak Ridge hosted several Camp Jeeps and Jeep Jamborees.
Please don't make me be the only Toyota old iron there again this year!

What kind of wheeling terrain is available on the trail rides?

I recommend you visit the link and look at the pics on the after action reports from previous years.
But in an attempt to try and describe it- It is mostly scenic trail riding with hill climbs, quite a few neat stream crossings, and small obstacles. However, there is the occasional challenging obstacle that can and will do damage and put you on your lid. There is always a way around and you will never be required to do anything more than be on a trail if you do not want to hard stuff. So the terrain is all up to the driver when the time comes. At times the overgrowth can make the trail tight and you can get some minor pinstriping.

Man I need to try to make this. I've been to Oak Ridge a few times but never done this event. I've heard this is a great one to attend.

It seems to get better every year. Not necessarily bigger (which is a good thing), just better.
