Done sold my Cruiser and now lookin' to do a lil' somethin' dif'rent.

Platform for new rig needs a 5.3 chevy and ProRock Dana 60's with 37's.

Can this be done to a Taco?

Any shop actu'ly doin' a conversion of this nature?

Thanks in advance ... just tryin' to keep it Ty-ota.

Don't know if it has enough space for the v8 but everything can be done. If I remember correctly, the Taco featured on the Nov/Dec 2005 issue of 4WDToyotaOwner magazine uses a Dana60 on the front.

Sounds like a great project, best of success and keep us posted!

I don't know if I have any pics anywhere, but a guy from Billings MT has a 2nd gen 4runner with a vortec 5.7 and front and rear narrowed d60s. Last time I saw it it was on 38's. That was probably 5 years ago though. And it was green. It's a fantastic vehicle. I would imagine if a SBC will fit in a 2nd gen, it would fit in a 3rd gen/tacoma.

Here's a Peterson's article on it 4x4 Toyota 4Runner - 4Wheel & Off-Road Magazine

I have the rear end done, just need to save a little more money for the front.
