Anybody else have one? :D

Hand Brakes on each side and 8' long.

It appears that it once was a Navy Radio/Communications trailer.

It is a M101A1 or A2. The surge brakes were only on the M105s until the M101A3s hit the ground and I have seen those with and without the brakes. Not sure when the change happened.

I thought as handy as you are, you would probably make one anyway....more or less just a reference picture to get an idea.

But I would bet there's a hundred and half in materials if you started from scratch.

This looks vry close to my M101A1. I removed my tailgate and had this built. For my use it better than a tailgate. Problem with a tailgate the dump feature doesn't work as well. Everything that dumped just sat on the tailgate.

I have one of these trailers. Mine was produced in 1953. From what I read which I don't remember where it was these trailers are not meant to be dump beds. That system that looks like it's meant to dump is really supposed to be unbolted at the other point and the tongue folds up flat against the front of the box for shipping. I do dig on the trailer for sure. For a little while I had a 1.5 ton m101a2 that was designed to pull behind a 2.5 ton 6x6. Very heavy trailer. The tag on the tongue said it's shipping weight was 2600 pounds empty. I sold for a small profit because it just so heavy and not easy to pull with 2 cords of wood in it. I was even pulling it with 3/4 ton suburban. The burb hated it.
