Hello All,

I've done some searching on here and other sites, but couldn't find anything that directly related to my issue.

So here is my query about my LSD. Being an Australian Built UZJ100 it's an 03' with CDL and LSD in the rear. No VSC or other traction control.

So here's the thing, before having the rear diff rebuilt with both rear wheels off the ground and they spin opposite directions, but I found some nasty metal bits when changing the diff oil I sent it to be rebuilt. I asked him to check the LSD and add shims to tighten it up if needed. He said he chucked it in the vice, put some axles in and tried to 'open up' the LSD. The axle twisted out of the vice before the LSD opened up. He couldn't add a 10 thou shim to tighten it up.

I put the rebuilt diff back in and sure enough wheels spin opposite directions. So to me that suggestions the LSD isn't doing it's job.

But here is the 'weird' part. I engaged the CDL to make sure it's all happy again. When I turn on my drive way the inside wheel skips and skids like the rear diff is locked?! (I did this going slowly)
I haven't checked if the LSD works with the CDL engaged and the rear's off the ground.

I know that you guys in the US got lots of different versions, but I just wanted see if anyone had any thoughts or ideas.

Cheers,
Hugh.
