I know it's kind of short notice...but is anyone interested in wheeling this Thursday or Friday or both at Uwharrie? I get the FJ back Wednesday evening with the new 6" Fabtech lift, wheels, and tires. You guys aren't going to recognize it with all the work we've put into it...

Anyone wanna go? Post up...

Whatever time works for you I'm flexible and on vacation. Post up or PM me and let me know.

What's your general plan? You camping at all?

I'd either have to meet early Friday and ride for the morning or get there late afternoon, ride a bit, look at camping for the night and maybe ride a bit Saturday before departing.

So...to be less long winded, Friday early or Friday late work best for me...

Yep, Outpost is fine and the earlier the better.

I guess them being open is the real limitation since I'll need a day pass...

Any idea when it opens? It is early during hunting season...

Im going to see how it looks at work tomorrow and if it is at all possible I may try and make it down there friday morning.....URE through the week is awesome, the last time I was there on a friday we saw 1 heep and 2 ATV's all day. It was like having the place to yourself.

That would be great man, the more the better.

Hey Steve - hope you can make it out there. I haven't seen your 80 since a few days after you got it, it would be good to see it out on the trails!

Dang.....couldnt get out of work in time, the earliest I could make it down there would probably 11:00. I would have liked to have been able to get together with you guys tomorrrow, you all take some good pics so I can see what I missed out on. Andy, we need to get together for some fishing sometime in the near future.

Well I learned a lot today...a well built rig is no substitute for good driving and good recovery equipment (Warn winch broke the first time it's ever been used). Got caught on Kodak twice, probably because of a little over confidence from the lift and a bad line. I'm getting over that rock next time...I don't care if I have to armor up the underside and slide to the top. Had a lot of fun and broke the FJ in nicely...I believe that Andy has some pics he can put up.

How did you break the winch? This should be interesting............;)

The shop that I had put on my front bumper and winch isn't great to start with but I figured they could handle it. The directions require that you turn the end cap around and the dis-engage en-gage switch be turned around. When they took the end cap off and tried to turn the switch they "muscled" it and bent a gear. When I tried to winch it just burned the clutch up.
