I'll be at uwharrie with a friend tuesday! Anyone else going to be there? I'd love a tour guide, i've only been there once, and i was by myself. And the guy going with me has never been there before. If noone else is going, anyone have any tips on where not to go in a Landcruiser with no lift, but good tires.

Lockers in it ?

Should be able to do most of them there. Not too sure about Daniel for an 80 series though with no lift. Someone with better knowledge will pipe in soon on that i would think. I was just up there for a week a few weeks ago and you really need to go prepared if you are going up there during the week. Not alot of people were there on the trails then during the week itself.

looks like youll be there just a day or two before several other folks.

I doubt ill be able to make it. I think youd be fine just about anywhere out there w/ the exception of Rocky Mtn loop right before Kodak there is a ledge that is difficult and the bypass is not super easy but very doable, even unlifted. Are you locked? if not i might say go for everything except rocky mtn loop and daniel. Doable but it depends on your skills, your spotters, and your willingness for a lil bump. IF you had sliders id say go have fun and dont worry.

the ledge

and the bypass

of course this is after a short rain, dry its much much easier

Dang, out posted by the canuck :D we snuck Clint through in a stock but locked 80 on daniel w/ no problems. Agreed though its EMPTY during the week, a good thing unless you need some help.

haha yeah, i dont mind scratches and dents at all, thats what i bought a LC for.
I took my moms 2005 Grand Cherokee around rocky mtn loop. (when it had 600 miles on it) Ended up with the front and rear bumpers, and one sideskirt in the car. (i was by myself)
Lets just say, i'm happy to be going in MY car this time. Nothing to worry about..
Just wish i had a veteran to follow this time.

96 - I might be up for playing a bit of hooky and meeting up with you at UWE...I've been once before myself, was able to handle Rocky Mtn Loop in my no lift FJC and stock street tires. My old factory skids were dinged a bit, and I nicked the kickout on my rockrail...by forgetting I had a kickout and cut it a bit close.

Other than that a scratch or two, but no biggie.

The bypass jfz80 is talking about near Kodak is a must without a lift/sliders...unless you want some damage.

Let me see how things go on Monday and I'll know for sure...I'll PM you my cell and we'll get things pseudo-planned.
