Just checking up on the postings. Normally we put the trail type in the registration to help facilitate the morning groupings, but I noticed they weren't there this time. We'll divide up that morning. Check the ONSC posting for up to date info, as we're starting earlier this ride, so we can cover more trails.

We will divide up into two groups for the morning run. Daniel/Rocky Mt. Loop (Kodak) for the intermediate/advanced group. And some sort of run with Wolf's Den, Dickey Bell, Slab Pile, etc. We try and get together for lunch at Dickey Bell parking lot, and then see who bugs out, and who's sticking around. We usually lose some people that just come up for the day after lunch.

Come on out and let's have some fun!

I will probably be intrestes in doing the easier trails since I have never been to this area.

I would definately be on the Daniel/Rocky Mtn Loop. Still trying to decide if I am going to camp or just come up Sat. morning before I register. My brother is trying to talk me into camping at Gulches instead, but even though URE is much tamer, I think I would rather hang out with Cruisers than a bunch of Jeep guys trying to get me to break my truck.:D

Okay, who from Lowcountry or Upstate is attending this weekend?

1. Brock
2. ShermanFJ62
3. Belmont
4. Clint (FJC I work with)

I am driving up Friday around mid morning...to get there an hour or two before dark.

I have decided to drive up Sat. morning with the tow truck instead of the 40. Put me down for the scenic route with Sherman.;)

My father in-law is starting some more chemo wed. and the wife needs to go down to Myrtle to see him this weekend. So I won't be able to take her Friday and tow the 40 everywhere, so it's either come up with the stock Taco, or not come up at all. Shouldn't be a problem with most everything except for Daniel and Kodak. We'll see, I'll bring a tow strap so Brock can drag my ass up if need be.:grinpimp:

See you there at the outpost.

Edit: If anyone wants to come up just for Sat.. I can meet you EARLY at hwy 38 and I-95 for the drive up to meet at the outpost by 8:30 am.

I will probably be leaving at 12pm or 1pm if my wife can get off work, otherwise I will roll out and follow Brock

I just read on the Tacomaworld site that they currently have about 20 going the same weekend. Looks like a few Stock and even a couple of Pre-Runners going. Looks like I won't be the only Taco out there this weekend.:)

Ain't nothing girlie about that Lexus. That thing looks bad ass.

I'll plan on hitting it as hard as I can right up to lunch. If it gets boring, or it gets too wet I might jump in your rig for the rest of the day. If I could make it up Dutch John (dry) and up the far right line on Daniel I think I could do pretty much everything with the exception of Kodak of course. We'll see, if it's dry I think I will have a blast, if it's wet not so much.

When I say scenic I don't mean Falls Dam and Wolf Den. Plan on going where you want to go and I will hopefully keep up. If not, I'll turn around and meet you at the parking lot at lunch.

I usually do the mild and just a little challenge stuff first...with the majority. Then usually do Daniel or Rocky Mtn Loop in afternoon.

I will just play by ear....I like them all except the road by Kodak as people get on there and spend half an hour trying to do it and the trail backs up if idiots dont park off the trail for everyone to go around.

yeah it should be good...that place is usually a dust bowl so will have sun all day today, tomorrow and Friday... We got hammered here last night too but sunny now.

it should be fine though

as a reminder: The Eldorado Outpost has a small buffet counter to order fried chicken, burgers, fries, etc. They also have most grocery products...milk, bread, lunchmeat, chips, etc.

They also are a BP Gas Station with good gas and an air compressor in parking area for tires. They sell the trail passes, hunting and fishing licenses, bait, camping gear, some clothing, firewood, ice, etc.....like a small GENERAL STORE out in any rural area.

Here is Google Maps link with satellite imagery of facility...you can zoom out and zoom in to look at facility or surrounding areas in this link right here in post

sounds cool. May try to make this the last trip in the cruiser...selling her...great starter rig...

I made it to darlington when my water pump locked up. So I am heading home, since i can't drive it. But o well s*** happens.

Tell me about it. I backed up in the driveway with the driver door open and hit the tire on the 40 peeling the door back. It will barely close and the window won't go down. Sucked a lot of the wind out of going, still trying to decide if it is worth it, or if this is just the start of a miserable time and more damage.:meh:

If anyone sees this and I don't show up with Brock tomorrow give him my cell so I can meet up with him in Florence sunday when he comes threw. I don't have his cell.

My cell 843 eight 55 zero 189
