my dad gave me an unused utica bonney torque wrench he bought like 10 years ago.

seems solid, heavy, USA made...all metal.

are these any good?

also, when he was handing it to me, it was in the cardboard box and he dropped it like 2 feet on the concrete, not a bad fall and no marks on the tool, but would this have any affect on the calibration?

The old school Utica torque wrenches are good stuff, very reliable/durable. I sold and had a ton of them calibrated, even when way beat, most were very close to spec. On yours, I doubt there is any damage, but how did it land? If it landed flat or on the head end, rarely is there an issue, if it landed vertically on the adjustment end, there is the most chance of issues. If there is an issue, most times the adjustment "feel" changes, is stiffer, etc.
