Hi,

I am currently in Coalville, UT (Just arrived tonight). Well, I need ideas or info on scenic drive or light off-road scenic around the area, if any. The reason I come here is for snowboarding. However, it will be nicer if I can have a chance to do some little off-roading, just an easy one. Any idea...

Thank's and Happy Holidays!

Welcome to Utah. I'd like to help on the scenic drive but the ones I know are closed during the winter. I am new to the 4 wheeling here and have only been to Moab and the Pony Express trail south west of Tooele (just dirt roads but if you look hard enough?) so I am not really of any help am I? Enjoy the slopes.

Problem is all the snow unfortunately. I have actually heard there is really good wheeling in coalville, including a valley that someone has a rough road cut through that is supposedly pretty good. Then of course there are the Uintahs, also great stuff including decent wheeling off the road that heads east out of Oakley (about 5 miles south of Wanship, next town over) called "Weber Canyon Road." You can pick up a free map of this area including trails at the Phillps 66 at the main intersection in Kamas. Good luck with it. About an hour away are the "Snakes" at 5 mile Pass, about 20 miles west of Lehi between Provo and SLC. Great trail, little snow usually, passable all winter most of the time.. Best, Andre
