Boss gave me the go-ahead to pick up 3 or 4 cheep weedwhackers fom the local box store for the employees to use. I told him we don't want to go with the junk they offer.

Then I remembered the local CL add..

Picked up these dirt cheep and it won't kill me if they abuse one or two...(From a parks & Rec auction).

After bringing them home, here's what I came up with:

1) FS360 runs great.
2) FS360 scored piston/cyl (parts or rebuild)?
3) Two FS250's one in good cond. one w/bent shaft, both run excellent.
4) FS90R, sweet runner.
5) FS130R same
6) Could be wrong, but thinking these are 4 FS100Rx's all but one run like champs.
7) BG65D or 85D blower runs good.
8) Two HT 101 pole pruners, both run great.

Want to keep one of these for myself, leaning on a 250R, 130R or even the 90R (seem to be the best runners). Like the bike handle idea and the option to put a brush blade on it.

Great score! Can you put in for a cost savings award? Gotta say, I'm VERY impressed with my FS350 for a dedicated brushcutter and my FS90 for a string trimmer. I know you'll be pleased. I'd like to take one of the pole-pruners off your hands! Let me know how they work in the mesquite. ;)

No wonder we haven't seen Dan today.

He's busy fapping.

Love the 360, but gawd, feels like a dirt bike in my hands. Sure I could put it to use, but way overkill for what I need.

The FS250 on the other hand feels just right for da Podunk brush and I agree the 90 seems to be the ultimate string trimmer.

The pole pruners are awsome! I had lots of fun with both this afternoon..:D (As with any quality company tool, they stay at my house so I can keep an eye on them).;)

You suck. Of course, I would be 'cleaning and maintaining' them at home in my off time to maximize my employers investment, too. ;)

Worth replacing the jug and piston on the fs360 or just use it for spare parts?

Do you have a need for it?

If the serial number is above 128 698 910 the cylinder and piston is # 4116 020 1203

If the serial number is below 128 698 910 the cylinder and piston is # 4116 020 1201

Call your dealer and get a price.

You will still have to find out what caused the piston to score. It may have a bad crankshaft seal, hole in fuel line, bad diaphragms in carburetor, etc.

Re: need, no.
To big for anything we have use for. These will hopefully find a home with one of our customers. Just wanted to get some info to pass on...Thanks.:)

Need to get to the dealer anyway, from what I can see, some of these have the large deflector missing the bottom half with the line cutter. Or switch to another deflector.

I have several of the Black Skirts with the cutter knife on them.

Let me know how many you need.

As usual, you da man!

Pm on the way..

If you decide to sell any of them, ask Marie if she will keep some FS boxes for you.

As you know, your package left today.

Think I'm going to try to move only the 360, the employees are having too much fun with the smaller machines, sounds like a beehive at the farm.LOl.

FS boxes? I'd be more than happy to ask her if I had a clue what I was talking about? Savy the FS but not the box..:o

Thanks Dan..

FS = Prefix for the model of a STIHL Line Trimmer

Box = A carboard container

FS Box = A Cardboard box that new FS Line trimmers come in. You have no idea how hard it is to pack one of those up and ship it without incurring "oversize" fees.

FJ 60 bumpers also fit perfectly in the FS boxes.

LOL

Ok, gotcha, LMAO!
