I just returned from the dealer across the street from my office and the first sales drone did not know what a FJ Cruiser was when I asked where are they. His co-worker overheard me and said they still don't have any. So I am not buying that story yet.

Tomorrow I am going to my "good" local dealer where I will hopefully find some on the lot.

There is a fully loaded black 4x4 at City Toyota in Daly City, CA.

San Francisco Toyota also received 2 vehilces this morning. Hopefully mine is next.

A saleman called me from a dealership in town called and left a message saying he has some FJd in and can look at them today.

I was at a dealership today for service. It was in the west end of Richmond, VA. A service guy said they dont have any in yet, and the first shipment was allready spoken for. Maybe when I go get my cruiser tommrow I'll get to see one!

Antioch Toyota Called today, said they were expecting 5 this afternoon....

Then he called just a few minutes ago and said they have a black one, come buy it, 31,000.

I tild him I would be down there after work to kick the tires.

None in Brunswick, GA today, but one dealership in Jacksonville (FL) called to stell me that a 4x2 FJC had just arrived this afternoon.

Checked Fred Anderson Toyota in Raleigh, NC on Tuesday and there were no FJs anywhere in site. This is one of the largest dealers in central NC.

Just got home from test driving one...a yellow, 6sp one....ahhh...very nice. It was actually far nicer than I thought it would be, not that I was expecting crap or anything, but I didn't realize how even the interior center dash part is metal and color coded with the exterior color of the vehicle (yellow for the one I drove), which looked really sharp. Bright gauges, shockingly smooth 6sp tranny, plenty of power it appeared...reverse seemed geared a bit high, and is up and left of 1st gear, which I screwed up finding at first... All in all a pretty darn nice vehicle I'd say...I was talking to the salesman as we drove, at the end he's like, well you definetly know more about it than I do...

If I had $30K burning a hole in my pocket I might have that yellow one in the garage tonight...but I don't...oh well...
