USB conversion

I am a fairly newLC 200 owner and have slowly been doing some upgrades. I want to change out the 12volt cig style plug to a USB plug on the rear facing side of the center console. Has anyone done this or might have a suggestion on how? I would appreciate any help. Is there a special tool I need to remove the face plate?

Please share how you got access to the console—where did you pry? For reference, I have a 2021 HE LC without a cool box.

Assuming the rear part of the console is the same as a 2019, it is just a matter of using your pry tools on the seams of that bottom rear piece until it pops off. I don't remember the exact spot as I did it about 5 years ago.

My nylon pry tool started to deform the plastic around the seam so I played tough and grabbed the rear piece at the seam and was able to pop it loose. Thanks for the note back!
