I am selling 4 US Military vehicle mounts for Jerry can style fuel cans. These are the 3 strap style. In the pictures I have them bolted together back to back but they are 4 individual carriers. Extremely versatile. Can be mounted on safari racks, bumpers, running boards, bumpers, inside beds or on trailers. $125 shipped CONUS.

Is there a way to attach them from the back to a surface? In other words the bottom part would be floating/not bolted to anything

Yes. there is 4 mounting holes in the back face, (two of the four were used to bolt these together in the pictures above). These holes can be seen best in the 1st image. These 4 holes are how the military mounted them on sides of many of their vehicles.
