Perhaps a dumb question, but I can't find any information anywhere on the topic specifically - did the USA ever get any VX designated 80 series models? Further, what separates the "VX" models from all others and makes them special?
The reason I ask is I just purchased (in the US) a LHD 1997 80 series but it has the VX badge, and "4500 Twin Cam" stickers on the rear quarter panels. Now, it's entirely possible a previous owner just thought these were cool and added them himself, but placement and application seem consistent with the factory.
