I have a 1981 BJ42Diesel with a 24 volt system. While replacing fuses I accidentally touched the fusebox metal fuse clip to the door frame with a screwdriver.

After my mis-hap I still get lights but nothing else.

If anyone has ever experienced this please reply.

Thank you in advance (I cross listed this post)

Check the fusible link(s) (short section of wire which acts like a fuse and is designed to fry/short) which should be near the positive terminal on one of the batteries.
When the fusible link blows, you will have headlights but no turn signals/dash lights/brake lights/etc.

Did you check all the fusible links?

It looks like this:

Here's where the fusible links are on my 1979 12V BJ40:
FusibleLinks3.webp
FusibleLinks2.webp

Should be similar on your 1981 24V BJ42 - That is, near the +Ve post on your high-side battery.
