There will be some FJC's coming down to URE on the weekend of Nov 22-23rd. The group from the "blue board" (aka, FJCruiserforums.com) calls themselves the Smokey Mountain Cruisers. They are a very active group and I helped persuade them to give URE a try. I think that some of the UC FJC owners will be coming in for it also.

Just thought I'd let "my club" know in case anyone wanted to come out who couldn't make the Dec run, or, just wanted another excuse to get in the dirt for a day or so. I can only make it out there on Sat Nov 22, planned meeting time is 8:30 at the Outpost, leaving for the trails at 9:00. There will be some stock FJC's as well as some "competent" rigs, so there should be a group for everyone...

possibly.... so i wonder if this is the group we saw as we were leaving sylva after the north meets south in the wheeeeeee. I asked and someone speculated a hot rod club (which may be right, and a good guess) but there was a large sign hung at the wal-mart for the Smoky Mountain Cruisers.

On that weekend, they were in Harlan doing the Kentucky Mountain Crawler's Fall Crawl. They may have been coming home from that since I know a bunch live in AL and GA, might have been traveling through to get home...

I'm in 80% as of right now.. FJ is finally 100% healthy so unless I can't come up with the money to get there I'm in. I guess I'll let the blue forums ppl know as well woo

Man I'd love to make that one. Jeri has knee surgery Fri 21 Nov and I've agreed to play Mr Nurse until she can get around again on her own steam.

btw my dad saw your FJ down the streeet the other day and pretty much told me If I don't get the tube "doors" done to mine I'm a failure at life.

He sounds like my kind of Dad.

I do have to admit that I put the "regular" doors back on. I will put them back on for any off-roading in the coming month, even if I have to wear my thermals to stay warm. We did a "time-trail" and it took less than 30 min to swap, pretty easy stuff...

Hmmmmm, sounds interesting Jerry - spill the beans. PS - Greg said you have some extra cone washers for the 79+ knuckles. If so, could I score about 5 of 'em and replace them? Shoot me a PM.

I will be there sunday with a friend of mine running a majorly modified suzuki samurai. we will have 2 four wheelers as well but no cruisers. this guy owns a 77 fj40 and an 80 fj40. he knows his stuff and loves meeting fellow cruiserheads.

Just got back....great day on the trails. Picked up a FJC along the way and other than a stock and stuck XJ that had us held up for half an hour the day went without a hitch. Great to see some familiar and new faces on the trail

Had a great time today, I hate we didnt run into all the other FJC's but it was a fun time none the less.

First time wheeling at URE today and had a blast. Can't wait till the Dec. 6th run!

Sorry we missed you guys. We met at the outpost and left for the trails around 9:30 (had some stragglers) and went in via Wolf's Den to get some of the FJC "stockers" into'd into the terrain. We came out via Slap Pile and headed toward Daniel around 11:00. We got stuck behind a Jeep that had a rear axle "issue" then had to take our time up Daniel, making sure to get everyone (4 FJC's and one 4-runner) up the trail.

It was a nice day to be in the park since it wasn't busy at all and the cool weather was pretty nice. Sorry we missed you guys also...
