re: 2000 LX470.

My driver seat leather looks pretty good but the foam in the outside bottom bolster has collapsed or moved around or both. I'd like to take the leather off the seat bottom and build up the foam. How hard is it to remove the upholstery and get it back on looking good? Any special tools required? Thanks.

Look into steaming the foam cushions.

From my past experiences on other Lexus vehicles with oem leathers, its not hard at all, then again I'm an experienced Lexus tech. Haven't messed with aftermarket leathers, but I assuming its the same. I plan on replacing mine with a set from Lseat as soon as I find time.

Besides your usual 14mm socket, ratchet, screwdrivers, you should only need something to snip off the old hog rings and a hog ring pliers along wth some new rings for installation.

I got some hog rings plyers at Harbor Freight for 9 bucks. Oddly they didn't have hog rings. Thanks for the link.

Agree with the above. It's a little fussy but that's all. I added foam to the passenger side in an LC. The photo doesn't show it but I did the side pieces on the lower foam as well as the center pieces.
