I just upgraded the M/C on my HJ61 to a 4runner 1" bore and am super happy with it. I was wondering if there would be any effects on the front/rear distriibution of brake pressure from this swap. I don't think there would be but thought I would see if any experts disagree. THe truck has a proportioning valve bolted to the bottom of the M/C but no LPSV in the back of the truck.

For the record, I used a M/C from an 89 V6 and calipers from a 91 T-100.

My 0.02 cents ...

I'm sure Wildwood makes an adjustable proportioning valve if you want to be able to dial in the ratios to a custom feel.

Haven't a clue how different the 4Runner proportioning valve ratios would be compared to a Cruiser.

Cheers,

Yes, I am not sure if they would be different either.. I would assume that it would work similarly but maybe I will go out to a gravel road and slam on the brakes a few times to make sure..
