the center console cup holder cover is not attached. Don't know why the pos would have taken it off, but i have it and would like to reattach it in all of it's glory and was wondering if it takes some small machine screws or some type of plastic trim piece? any help in this pressing situation would help !

I replaced mine. I think the screws just loosen up over time, as they're definitely not easy to get to. One screw was loose in the floor and I found a small one to match when I bought my LC last year. It was a PITA to get done, had to pop the center console cover loose.

I have the same issue, minor problem for sure, but it really bugs me not having it on. Can you explain how you got the center console cover off. I tried removing all the visible bolts along both sides, rear, and the ones in the console, beneath the small piece of rubber mat, to no avail! Which ones did I miss? I'm missing the screws for the lid itself, but I'm guessing they will be found under the console somewhere. Also, fwiw, I managed to snag a small rubber strip directly undeneath the area where the lid slides into when retracted. I still don't know if its part of the lid.

I'll try to post the diagram from the manual. Looks like I need to post both 500 page manuals on here. FWIW, I don't think the factory manuals are very user friendly. The part I took loose was the wood grain cover that goes around the center console- the gear shifters and all. It really was a PITA.
