Uniden PC78LTW.

Was working fine last time I used it (several months ago).

Transmits fine, will not receive (on CB). Picks up weather stations fine.

CB is definitely transmitting. I checked it talking to my brother (to his CB).

Yes, I checked the mic, it works fine. Even replaced it with another known to be good mic, no change. (Astatic Road Devil mic) with good battery, but also tried the factory bearcat mic.

Yes, I turned the squelch all the way down, noise limiter, etc. Turned up RF and Mic Gain.

There is not even any 'static' through the speaker (external speaker works fine). Also there is NO needle movement on the dial at any time (on receive).

Really don't know what else to check. I did notice that if I turn the volume up all the way (while on CB setting) I can faintly hear the weather channel (like it is bleeding over).

Coax should be good (I can check all the connections, but don't think that is the problem), the antenna (Firestik) is in good shape, SWR is good. Transmits like the devil, just can't hear anything and see no movement on my meter.

Did my receiver die and if so....is it worth having it checked out/repaired, or just buy a new one?

Thank You in advance for your help and suggestions.
