I lifted the FJ 2 inches, put on bigger tires and an ARB bumper. I then added a Airaid, JBA headers and a Cat Back system. nothing really improved the mileage or performance until I put the Unichip system in. Thats when it all came together. I haven't checked the mileage yet but it sure made it much quicker....

You have to specify the the aftermarket things you have done and they will customize the chip for your setup. You can also go to a authorized tuner center for a custom job on a dyno. My FJ finally hauls butt and has much more pick up. I hope it improves the mileage as mine had slipped to about 14 hwy.:bounce2:

I paid about $620.00 for mine, but it varies on the web. They also plan to add a setting for E-85 fuel which is over 100 octane and 40 cents a gallon cheaper than gas. I already run a 50/50 mix of gas and E-85 and she loves it. I used to have a sooty/black powdery inside of the tailpipe but now its a nice brown color and clean.

Great!
Would love to know the added HP and Torque.
Can you post the results when you get them?

Unichip

I will post the difference once I have it all dialed in and put on a Dyno. (the closest one is 85 miles away).

What modifications did you make to your vehicle to run the E-85.

E-85

I didn't do anything, just a 50/50 mix and it runs better and cleaner and cheaper. Although, you can buy E-85 conversions from http://flexfuelus.com/. I have run many tanks through my FJ and my F-250. I have seen no bad effects and in fact my 199,000 mile F-250 runs much better now. Probably because it has cleaned my injectors and rid my system of any water.

Thats interesting to hear about the E85. Do you have a manual or an automatic? I have similar mods to my rig (TRD CAI, headers, exhaust) and I notice a considerable performance boost over stock. I have the 6 speed and the one of the guys I talked to at Underdog said you will feel the performance enhancement much better in the manual. I'm not sure why, but thats what he told me. Anyhow, thats good to hear about the unichip. I'll put that on my list of future mods.

Automatic

Mine is Automatic and I did feel a little better performance(or maybe it was just the better sound that fooled me) after all the mods but I did notice (FEEL not hear) much more acceleration after the chip.

Nice! Well, mine alredy takes off like a rocket but I'm always game for more power!
