I got my windshield frame off and found three areas of rust underneath. Approximately the same spot on both sides near the hinges.
I also found some metal foil tape covering two holes.

Are there any genuine drain or weep holes under there?
Is the metal foil tape a bodge job or is it legit?

Thanks.

Yes.

In the pics you see the repaired flange (welded then a layer of PC-7) with foil tape intact on right side.

Senior have you guys ever tried fish oil for the rust on the inner panels windscreen etc. Ive had great success with fish oil but zero knowledge on wax does it walk around covering the whole inner panel or is it sprayed in hot through 1/2' holes. I have just had the hj75 truck painted and keen to seal the inside.

Senior, do I leave the holes open? Are they drain holes?

The cavity wax is thin at first. It's mixed with some volatile stuff that evaporates away and the wax then gets a lot thicker. It never gets totally hard like candle wax. Waxoyl is the name of a brand I've used on my MGB.
Here's a pic of the stuff running out of my windshield frame like water.

There's no drain holes in the hj75 body they need to be welded closed. My panel beater soaks all the body rubbers in fish oil before fitting the bolt up panels.

I smeared a layer of 3M Bedding and Glazing Compound on top of the cowl, or whatever, and then laid the rubber seal for the windshield frame on top of that. The 3M stuff is a lot like Roof Cement/tar but it never hardens. I can see this gunk preventing water and air from aiding in rust development.
When I next take the roof off I will fold windscreen down and inspect.
