U not gonna believe this. Someone apparently tried to steal the dent today while i was at work. My wife left the house around 4:30 and it was still parked where i left it. She came back around 10 till five and it is sitting in front of my house at my mailbox halfway in the rd. Someone apparently jumped in, put the truck in neutral and let it roll into the rd, running over one of my ornamental trees in the process. Once it hit the rd they turned it to go down the rd and guess what?? Couldn't get it to start due to no alternator or battery.
I believe it was some dumb*** kid because none of my tools were missing. I do not believe that it simply rolled into the rd because it would not have simply turned in to the rd. It would have rolled across the rd and kept on going until it hit the neighbors house doing some free renovation work. I do not know who did this but they better pray that i never find out.

my wife took a pic of where the truck was when she found it. I will try to post it later.

more than likely some punk kid thinking they were going to get a free joy ride. Someone is watching our house. I am going to mount some dummy cameras onto the house just in case though.

I'm glad to hear it's still in your possession.

It's a 60, who wouldn't want it?

this is how the wife found it.

It would have had to rolls down hill backwards then turn uphill and stop at the mail box without hitting it. Don't think so. But on the good side whe :princess: is gonna let me get a new pistol.

Probably rolled close to 100 ft before getting to the rd.

good thing u were havn the problem with the battery and alternator

we need a like button...

If i ever get far enough along with it i will install a kill switch or something in it.

Was gonna say that on day one.
25 minutes and 25 bux for 12g wire, horn button, couple crimps, a relay and viola.

Uncanny timing and I do believe it; thievin bastids is everywhere.

I try to remember to lock the 80 and the 45 has a kill switch now for the same reason and yet the keys have been in the 55 for 3 years and thats the only one noone has tried to muck with:meh:

I installed a push button starter on mine thinking that if someone were to get in with the key and it wouldn't turn the truck over they would bail. I left it at my brothers shop one day, and when I came back it was moved. I said how the hell did you move it? He said I just pushed the starter button you installed on the dash.:bang:

Guess I need to install a better safety switch. Might do a marine kill switch when I re-wire for the fuel injection.

When I do another 40, it will def. have some type of kill swith or GPS/lo-jack. I wish the one i had stolen would have somehow been hooked to the horn so it would have beeped when they tried to start it! or the gas tank so it would have blown-up on their sorry a**.

I have a kill switch in my 40, you just have to interrupt the ignition wire with another switch. and remember to USE it...its a real beech when the cruiser wont start and you cannot remember which way the switch is supposed to be flicked for "start"...
