Hi all, what a great forum!
Let me introduce myself, I live in the U.K and i have just recently become the proud owner of a '98 TLC100 Diesel.Automatic. What a truck!
I do have one problem though, and i hope someone can help me.. when i am cruisin at, say 50mph, and back off the throttle, then gently re aply the power, there is a 'clonk' noise which can be felt thru the floor. I have hed different reports of it being internal transmission wear, front diff mountings or torsion bar bushes. Has anyone else had these symptoms? I am just concerned that i am going to break something if it carries on.
I hope someone can help me. Thank you in advance.

Not too sure about the 100 series cruisers ('98 to present), but on the 80 series ('91='97) it is normal and attributed to wear in the full time 4wd driveline.

You can try greasing the zirks in your drive-shafts (believe you'd call them prop-shafts?) to see if it lessens the noise.

Oh, and welcome!!

thank you. someone else told me that maybe the diff oils need changing? not sure if that would make any difference but ill give it a try.
