1) Geez, I dunno - take your old one into an auto parts store. Or search here on LED & get a couple of those & be done with it.

2) Putty knife if you're miserly & careful, door trim removal tool out of stamped steel probably by SK if you're not, & forged, plated steel by Equalizer if you're in the auto glass biz.
 
I have taken my door panels off several times with no issues, just take your time and be easy.
 
Do you mean the interior door panels? FSM says put tape on a screwdriver...has always worked for me.
 
I appricate the input however the old dome light bulb had no markings. I tried the replace it with what fits trick and it blew the fuse. So I tried a different bulb and its very dim. The dome light buld I am looking for is the forward one.

I don't know if you have looked for a bulb lately but when I went into napa, the guy wasen't able to help me because his computer didn't list a part number.
 
Bulb ????Get the doors warm and I just use a flat steel bar covered in tape and my fingers. There a two piece plastic thingies that pop out you will see how they work. If both pieces pop out separate them and replace them in the correct spots. Cake job usually.
 
Try your Toyota dealer? The stock bulb doesn't provide much light... you might search under LED or George Scolaro, who provides a popular LED upgrade.

Ok thanks for all the help with the door panels, as for the bulb I will try toyota. I allready have 3 hrs into the stupid dome light bulb problem. And its still not right. 3 hrs at 50.00 per hr thats alot on my free time wasted on a 2.00 part. Oh if this wasn't my dream rig I would sell it.

As for the door panel someone tried to break into my rig with a coat hanger, failed but the hanger was stuck when I came back to the rig. A piece broke off in there. and now I have to roll my window down to get out , Its pretty getto.

If the bulb is from Toyota I can assure you it is not a $2 bulb. There is a similar shaped buld in the dash that lights the heater/ac controls. It is a 2 watt bulb that is a $6.50 dealer item. Same thing with this bulb, NAPA and others don't have a listing for it.

you can use a rag to get the clip off the window crank. you can also use some bent end needle nose pliers if you're a little more coordinated. i've got each on sale for anyone that wants to buy them.... ;]


jason - 3 hrs into the dome light project? you'll need the following which is availble at any Kragen, Napa or whatever you have:

2 tube style bulbs @ 12W 10V
