Two issues I need an ID on....

One looks like the diff breather? I never noticed this before, is it missing a hose??

And second is my drive shaft....leaking apparently. Am I going to have to replace the entire shaft?

Yes, and no.

The grease is just from the slip yoke...a good sign that someone actually bothered to shoot some grease in there!

There's a tube likely attached to the crossmember above, that's where my stock one was. If not just buy some tube and a breather to attach. Would be a good time to extend your breathers.

The stock diff breather slips off easy with light off road, it's just not long enough. This happened to me numerous times which is why I installed ARB extended lines and breather.

Regarding your missing diff breather hose: I'd check your diff oil hasn't gone milky with moisture. I found my breather loose and the oil, maybe only 5k old, was already showing signs of moisture.

Found the diff hose and popped it back on there. I'll look into buying some extended lines for sure. Just had the fluid changes a couple of weeks ago too.

And I had the zirks greased a month ago; shouldn't worry too much about the leakage showing?

The grease coming out is a bit more than I have, but maybe more was pushed in? Not to worry.
I do only about 3 pumps with the hand gun, but quite often, every 3 k miles, because that's how the UJs like it.
