REMINDER: LUBE YOUR SUNROOF TRACKS

Hey all. Kids had swimming lessons on a cool day yesterday, so I turned the heat on for the first time in a few months to warm them up. Nothing but ice cold AC air whether I had it on auto or switched to manual controls.

Today I put the AC on for the drive in. Heat from the depths of Hell came blasting out my vents. Tried manual and auto, couldn't get anything except for hot air.

Searched but can't find the issue. Hard to navigate all the no ac/ no heat threads against this issue with search though. Does this point to a common denominator?

Thank you!

Hiya! Old thread, but wondering if you ever solved this issue?

I have the same problem. What does work as a kludge is to turn off ignition after setting climate to hot or cold as desired, then restart. This seems to reset the blend door servo to the right position, hot or cold. I can increase temp then as needed but going back to cold requires another restart. I have a thread from feb 2025 with some pics & info. My rig is a 2006 UZJ100 btw.
