My dad's 1994 pickup is exhibiting some bizzare blinker behavior.
When the right turn signal is switched on it blinks normally until the brake is applied then it stops blinking and illuminates constantly.
When the left signal is activated both the left and right blinkers come on as if the four-ways were on. If the brake is applied while the left signal is on the right blinker will shine continually whilst the left will blink normally.
My first guess was a bad bulb somewhere but they all seem to be functioning. My next guess is a bad ground somewhere but I'm not sure where to begin looking. Is this a problem common to this vintage? I'm more of a Landcruiser person and don't have much experience on the Toyota pickups.
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks!
