Turn off Seatbelt Chime?

Havent got my 200 yet, but plan to do the same thing. Used one on my 4Runner to get rid of the chime and the goofy "ECO" bar that always told me I had a heavy right foot. Great tool and nice to have for diagnopsing error codes too
Ooh, do tell, who is this "Carista" that you speak of?? Can she disable my TPMS too?

I just downloaded and installed Techstream yesterday per the directions provided here on Mud. It took maybe 10 minutes to set it up and another 10 minutes to hook it up to the LC 200 and disable that stupid damn chiming. 😃

I always wear my seatbelt when I’m driving on the road at speed - though I 100% respect anyone who makes an adult decision not to wear one - but many times we drive the LC around our farm or make a quick drive down to the mailbox (.5 miles) at golf cart speeds and it is bat poop stupid to have to constantly buckle and unbuckle. I don’t need my vehicle or anyone else telling me when I need to put on a stupid seat belt. I am fully capable of weighing the risks and making an informed and intelligent decision.

As mentioned above, the light continues to flash but no more chiming makes me incredibly happy.

Will mention also that our 2006 4Runner does not chime either. I believe Toyota implemented it across the board in the US at some time after that.

I would not want to lose a telltale that others in my vehicle have not buckled in.

As others have said, you can turn off the chime for both front seats via techstream. While I was at TS, I also disabled the auto tilt/retract steering action when I turn off the ignition. Enabled windows and sunroof open/close with key and remote.

Everyone with a Toyota/Lexus should have Techstream. So convenient to customize your vehicle and diagnose issues. Even if you dont repair yourself at least you know if the mechanic is jerking you around.

Are you saying that in addition to opening windows & sunroof...you are also able to CLOSE them via the fob WITHOUT turning on power to the vehicle?

Mine opens by default (hold down unlock button).
But the ability to also CLOSE it without powering up truck would be fantastic.

Can you clarify this?

On mine I have to use the touch button on the door handle to close all windows including sunroof after enabling via Techstream. Can open with FOB, but not close.

Woah!!
Since it’s the first time I have ever heard of the possibility of CLOSING all windows via the door handle... I just went out and tried it.

Woooooooo!!
Held the driver button on the door handle for three seconds...and UP THEY WENT!! I’ve long been aware on the FOB open-all feature, but not the close part.

Just made my day, as a huge pet peeve has been realizing a window is open after getting out...and having to power up the truck to remedy!

Also means if it starts raining in camp, just holding the button closes everything. Yippee... 😬👍🏼

So...apparently no Techstream needed for this...unless the original owner had it done.

Anyone wanna go try it to confirm?

Hey, I just went over to my 200 buyer's house to drop off a few things. I just got an OBDlink MX+ today for my 4runner to turn off the seat belt chimes. While I was over there, we plugged it into his 200 and turned on the Open/Close all windows with key fob. We used the CARISTA app and it worked super easy. He was really happy to open or close all the windows with the fob remotely. The 4runner only has the option of opening with fob.

The MX+ is pretty cool as well. I can see all ECU parameters on my phone... trans temp, AF ratio, sensor codes, etc.

Which model for an ‘18 LC? Any advice on where to buy? TIA!
