Picked up my 08 earlier this year when my Taco frame bit the dust. I love it great truck.

I bought an '08 DC 5.7 in August. I installed a 3" lift, 3" front and 1 1/2" in the back. You can order it direct from Rough Country Toyota Leveling Suspension Lift Kit for $175.90 plus shipping. I used Cooper Discoverer STT LT285/70R17 (33x11.50) tires and Weld Method 17x8.5 wheels. Cooper Tires.

The major difference's between the RC lift and the others are: the RC lift blocks are powder coated steel not alluminum and you do not have to disassemble the struts, the blocks mount on top of them. If you have a floor jack, stands and basic tools you can do it. Don't forget to get your truck realligned afterwards. You'll see what I mean if you do it. By the way, I do not work for Rough Country or Cooper.

Those wheels are bad ass, and i have always like the Cooper STT! Great combo!

Keep a close eye on the chrome on the rear bumper. It'll start to rust. Do NOT let them tell you it's your fault or that it can be rubbed out and sealed. They should put a new bumper on for you as often as it happens.

You'll break the plastic clips in the tail gate too. If you own it it might be worth drilling and pinning the linkage at some point, but again they'll fix it.

I really like the rubber bed mat. It works great.

I've also found a couple of standard size toolboxes fit behind the rear seats for the hitch, straps, gloves etc., although I just have an SR5. The JLB speakers might be back there on a limited.

thanks for the tips gumby
