big NO. But they do look scarcely close to the ground. as for mods right now a bigger NO. its the wifes rig and im sporting the cruiser and looking for a new home for my old chevy! i am looking a 2.5 inch lift for the cruiser though, just have to talk my wife into it! and it will probably be a while out as we just got new tires for it!

's) LX needs springs but we bought new (small) tires SO I am having a hard time convincing my wife a 2.5" lift would be cool.....However, I do not want to get OEM size springs then in a year or 2 buy a lift - why spend $$ twice!
So, my mods must be relegated to my Taco

Her LX is getting a front axle rebuild, brakes, plugs & wires all in the next month as I already have the parts from Cruiser Dan and just need to dedicate a weekend for these (not fun but necessary!) projects. So I don't ignore her vehicle but she frows on some of my ideas though.
Last nite I got to finish welding sliders on to my brothers '08 Taco double cab - so I still get to play in the shop some!

sweet, i just did rotors all the way around on my 80, it was really a pretty easy job. the hardest part was the cone washers on the outer flange but a good brass drift made easy work out of those! i have plugs wires and a vsv for egr i havent gotten around to on my 80 yet.
I wanted a 04 taco but the wife opted for the tundra and i would get the 80 which worked out for me both ways really! good luck with the front end!

I would like to get the large stock step boards for this thing for my wife. Anybody got some they wanna get rid of for an 07-08 tundra crewmax?

You should have, we got ours for a steal of a deal, and re-financed our cruiser all for 0% interest

for the Tundra? I just read an interesting bit of info on GM's baby Duramax they plan to offer for their 1/2 ton
trucks. 310hp and 520lbs torque.

Don't really care much for the diesels, but I have heard that production was to start again this month, but has been pushed back to January? This is from a local Toyota dealership, so high chance that it's not accurate.
I bought an '08 DC 5.7 in August. I installed a 3" lift, 3" front and 1 1/2" in the back. You can order it direct from Rough Country Toyota Leveling Suspension Lift Kit for $175.90 plus shipping. I used Cooper Discoverer STT LT285/70R17 (33x11.50) tires and Weld Method 17x8.5 wheels. Cooper Tires.
The major difference's between the RC lift and the others are: the RC lift blocks are powder coated steel not alluminum and you do not have to disassemble the struts, the blocks mount on top of them. If you have a floor jack, stands and basic tools you can do it. Don't forget to get your truck realligned afterwards. You'll see what I mean if you do it. By the way, I do not work for Rough Country or Cooper.

As for the lift, hold off on the lift spacers. Been there done that and wont go back. There are alot of "lifts", but Im sure you have learned from this site that better to do it right the first time. Adj. coilovers and upper control arms are always a better way to lift a Tundra w/o breaking the bank. Less wear on upper ball joints and better off road quality. Check out Camburg, Total Chaos, and a few others. Also stop by socaltundras.com for SEVERAL quality, well built Tundys.

If you don't mind my asking, what are you guys actually getting these for?

It's not a new one, but I just picked up an '06 DC with 75K for 13K out the door from the dealer. Major deals can be had on the previous style.
That's cause everyone wants the new ones, myself included ;p
I was honestly in the market for a 3/4 ton, but love the Tundra's and they're rated to tow what I need.
My dealer told me they weren't even gonna make 09's. They were just gonna let the 08's sell out and then start the '10s early. We all know how reliable salesmen are, but it almost seems legit?
