So this truck is a 2004 Tundra 4x4. The owner wanted a lift, the flares removed and a new bed-liner installed.
For the lift we went with a set of 2" Sway a Way Coil-overs and an add a leaf in the back. We ended up with about 3 1/2" of lift when we were all said an done.
The second part of the project wasn't as straight forward. Just like the 80s, if you pull the flares off you are left with about a dozen nice square holes per flare that need to be filled. So we TIGed patches in all of the holes that were left, did some minor bondo work to smoth everyhting back out. Once all of the body work was done we sprayed the flares and the rockers w/ 3M Body Schutz. Body Schutz is similar to Herculiner or Linex but it isn't quite as thick so it sprays easier and looks better on flares etc. After the Schutz fully dried we painted over it with black Automotive paint to keep it from Greying out over time.
The last part was easy because all we had to do was take the truck to our local Linex shop and had the spray the bed which is about 100% nicer than the factory drop in liner.
