Trying 2Fit a Felpro Manifold Gasket

Hey Guys,

Specs: FJ60, Stock 2F, 216k

Due to an exhaust leak, I had my intake and exhaust manifold decked and was ready to reattach last evening. I purchased a Felpro #22813 intake/exhaust gasket.

Take a look at the picture pasted below, it appears that the gasket is not a match. I have outlined the problem area in a red box. Yes, the gasket is lined up on the other side and only the exhaust manifold is beneath the Felpro gasket. Any ideas what is going on?

The junction visible, just beyond the elbow moves, there is a gasket in there also, you need to break it free and replace the gasket then it should line up.

Does the gasket line up with the studs/bolt holes that are in the cylinder head?

Just My 2 cents but it's been my experience that whenever possible use Toyota OEM gaskets. You usually won't have these
sorts of problems. I've had issues with Felpro before and learned this lesson the hard way.
