Still checking options for the 4.6 in the wife's truck. Looks like a blown head gasket and at 260k miles....
Sanderson gave me a price of $2600 for a crate engine, just wondering if I can get it built for less.

I am quite picky with machine shops. It took me several years living here in the valley to find one that I thought I could not only trust my own engines with, but also recommend to others. I started using Baker Machinery in Gilbert. The are on Power Rd north of the 202 (across from Roberts Tire) They rebuild all of Swifts diesels and do all of LC Engineering's machine work. Give Tom Baker a call (480.988.1187). I don't know how he compares on price, but his quality is superb.

Thanks, I'll give him a call. I too am picky, I was burned by a shop here in Tucson years back. Unfortunatly, the one good I found retired right after building my f engine.
